Ode To Love - A Poem For Valentine

Submitted by admin on 13 February 2015

Still in the spirit of Valentine! We are just a day away and there is "Love in the air".  Today, ZODML Poetry Corner features a poem on love by Damilola Ogundipe. Are you a writer? Send your poems, short stories and book reviews to editorial@zodml.org to be featured on the blog.

Real as you so delicately seem...
I savour you only in my wildest delusions

Your rays culminate into beams...
You illuminate hate’s very confusion

You fill embittered hearts to the brim...
Healing souls that are ladened with rejection

Come true, I bid you my dream...
Or I shall sleep still in your sensuous delusion

I choose to hold you beyond the rim...
As I fear to wake and find that you were but a dusty vision

Enter into men with lights so dim...
Detonate your soothing aura to full saturation

Make of my gloom, a glamorous gleam...
Even as my heart becomes your lofty habitation
Enjoy Valentine's week and don't forget to comment on our post and even submit one yourself.
